Spring Polishes from Sugarloom

Since moving to Florida, my whole concept of "seasons" has changed drastically. While the start of spring once meant brisk, cool mornings with the sunny afternoons to look forward to, now it's just hot all day every day. That said, while I have now been dressing for typical summer weather since February, I was still looking forward to the arrival of spring to spice up my wardrobe (both beauty and otherwise) with all kinds of pastels and bright colors. One pop of color I always look forward to adding is nail polish, and some of my favorites this year have come from the wonderfully vegan line of Sugarloom Cosmetics. With a line that consists of every color imaginable, this nail polish brand is five-free, cruelty-free and made right in the USA.

I have been wearing two colors from this line almost daily for a month now and have quickly fallen in love with each. The formula is creamy and can be built up to opaque in a coat or two and, best of all, lasts forever on my very much chip-prone digits. The more brightly colorful of the two I have been testing is Mint* which, as you might have guessed, is a cheery pastel mint color that just screams of spring. As I type this, I'm wearing this fun shade on my toes, and the color adds the perfect bright pop against my newly-tanned feet.

The other color I have been trialing, and the one currently on my fingers, is a peach-toned shade by the name of Caramel*. While I am normally all about the blues and greens when it comes to polishes, something about this subtle-yet-chic choice just screamed my name when I first spotted it. The best way I could describe it is as a nude that's not actually nude — there are hints of brown and peach in this lovely shade that makes it one of the best year-round colors I have ever come across. It is one of those shades that goes with everything and always makes me feel chic when I am wearing it (a large feat unto itself since my daily outfit consists of a muscle tank and yoga pants).

Have you guys tried anything from Sugarloom Cosmetics? I'd love to hear what shades to try next!
