Olivine Atelier Amongst the Waves

When I was little, I distinctly remember playing around at my grandmother's house and finding her old-timey perfume with a little puff atomizer (the real name of which escapes me at the moment). Ever since then, I have always been obsessed with the idea of a gorgeous perfume bottle with an atomizer to display on my vanity, a quality that is hard to come by with fragrance bottles today. I'll admit that it was this aesthetic that initially drew me into the beauty of the brand Olivine Atelier, but it was stunning fragrances that made me stay.

I now own two scents from this natural perfumery, the most recent of which is their Amongst the Waves Eau de Parfum*. This stunner is the definition of a beach-y scent, but don't confuse that with a summer scent. With notes of ocean salt, black coconut, tonka bean and tiger lily (among others), there's something truly nostalgic about this fragrance that transports me to days at the beach, soaking up the sun. Usually I wouldn't want to wear such a bright and cheery scent year-round, but this perfume is different. It is truly beautiful and so wearable without feeling overwhelming, or overtly "warm weather-only".

The floral combines with the coconut perfectly for a warm, clean scent that wears beautifully. I have gotten more compliments wearing this scent than any other I've ever tried (which is a lot), not to mention I just feel plain happy when I spritz a bit of this on. This truly isn't just a case of a pretty bottle - what's inside is just as wonderful.

Have you tried anything from Olivine Atelier? Between my love for this and their Bluebird Eau de Parfum I am eager to try more from this wonderful line.
