Gemstone Organic

Recently I did a little pice on Brit + Co about using gem stones in beauty products, and I was honestly taken aback by some of the benefits. I honestly had always assumed the addition of gems to beauty products had more to do with luxury then anything else, so I was pleasantly surprised to see some of the incredible therapeutic properties that these beauties hold. It was after doing this research that I had the opportunity to try out the green beauty line Gemstone Organic, a gorgeous natural line of skincare that revolves around the beneficial properties of gem stones.

For the past couple of weeks I've been trying out the brand's Moonstone Creme* as well as their Lavender Gem Juice Hydrosol*, both products that feature the use of gem stones in one form or another. The Moonstone Creme is perfect for soothing dry and sensitive skin, reducing redness while preventing hormonal acne (not an easy balance, I'll tell you). With gem stone essence (combing different moonstones), along with ingredients such as apricot oil, rose and blue chamomile, this is a great option for distressed skin in need of healing. My face has hit a bit of a rough patch lately (both literally and figuratively) and wearing this during the day or at night over a serum or oil has been a great help.

The Lavender Gem Juice Hydrosol has even more evident gem stones, containing blessed amethysts and sunstones in the smaller 2oz option and desert diamonds and sapphires in the larger 4oz option. Combined with lavender, this spritz is a bit of a do-all toner, gently soothing irritated skin while relaxing your face and mind, reducing both stress and anxiety. I'm a big fan of lavender so I personally love the scent of this one, and I do find that it helps to instantly reduce redness. What I love so much about the spray, though, is how many potential uses it has! You can use this as a day or night toner, a body mist, room spray, aromatherapy mist and so much more. I adore products you can use endlessly, so this has been a really impressive find to me.

Have you tried anything from Gemstone Organic before? If not, I'd love to know your thoughts on using gem stones in beauty/everyday life!
