Alima Pure's Pressed Foundation

As someone with dry skin, I had pretty much given up on finding a powder that would work for my skin. Sure I can get away with it during hot, humid weather, but during the winter it just usually makes my face look so matte and straight up bleh. After switching over to natural beauty though I found that there were so many beautiful options that I was dying to at least give one of them a try. So I finally gave in and did. After hearing many rave reviews, I was excited to try out the beautiful Alima Pure's Pressed Foundation with Rosehip Antioxidant Complex*.

Coming in a sleek looking mirrored compact (where you can actually refill the foundation after you run out - how cool?!) I use this foundation in the second lightest shade Aspen, a fair neutral/warm shade that works beautifully for my skin tone. The formula itself is pretty lightweight and contains an impressive list of ingredients such as rosehip oil, evening primrose oil, calendula and argan oil. All of these work together to give your complexion added skincare benefits throughout the day as you wear it, making this a true skincare/makeup hybrid.

The coverage of this is definitely light, though it can be built up to medium. It can be worn on top of a liquid foundation or on its own, which is how I chose to use it. After sufficiently moisturizing and exfoliating my skin I used my Hourglass No. 7 brush to buff this into my skin and I was blown away by the results. The finish is what I would describe as satin-y semi-matte, so it truly looks like your skin but better, and its so lightweight that you can barely feel it on your skin. I loved how natural it looked while still providing some color and coverage, a hard balance to find with most powder foundations.

Overall I have been more then impressed with this foundation and am eating my words on powder foundations. I've been alternating this with my beloved Gressa Skin Foundation (which is a hard one to compete with in my book) and I have really been loving it.

Have you tried anything from Alima Pure before? I was so impressed with this gorgeous foundation that I'd love to hear recommendations for what to try next from the brand!
