Shampoo for a Healthy Balance

My love affair with Josh Rosebrook has been well documented on this here blog (as evidenced here, here and here). So when the brand launched a new shampoo and conditioner duo intended for normal to oily hair (oily girls unite!) I was all over it. I had tried his Nourish Shampoo* in the past and, while aptly named for its hydrating and soothing abilities, it definitely was not ideal for my oily mane.

The brand spanking new Balance Shampoo* on the other hand? This is a hair product I can certainly get on board with. Balance was a perfect name for this one - it's gently cleansing without ever being drying. The formula hits that sweet spot between soaking up excess oil and drying out your scalp completely, leaving you with effortlessly volumized and manageable hair. Since this is not an easy feat to achieve for my locks, I've been understandably impressed.

Now I should say that, while there is a matching conditioner for this gem, I have found using the shampoo alone to be sufficient for keeping my hair nourished. It does a great job of sucking up excess oils but it does replace those with rich natural plant oils and herbs, which help to keep my hair shiny and unbelievably soft. Since my hair is naturally oily, though, I don't feel the need to condition my hair every time after using this. For those with more normal to dry hair you very well might feel differently.

Overall I have been adoring the results from this guy. My hair feels healthy and smells amazing - even Jake has noticed a difference (and this is the same guy who can barely tell when I've gotten a haircut). Have you all checked this new, dreamy product out yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  2. I wish they had a travel size option. I like to try the travel size before I commit. :)
