A Little More From Indie Lee

You know the feeling when you try a beauty product that just blows you away? As a beauty nerd that's what we look for. The honest truth though is that when a product is incredible, there's a good chance that not every other product from the line will knock your socks off quite as well. I mean what are the chances of that, right? As rare as this might be it's not impossible. In fact, I've found the rare exception with the beautiful brand of Indie Lee.

While I've reviewed several of her products in the past I've since made my way through a good chunk of the line and each and every bit of it has been heavenly. It honestly would seem that this all-natural brand can do no wrong, particularly when it comes to my skin.

I've previously reviewed the brand's Brightening Cleanser*, but my praises for this gem bears repeating. With a deeply cleansing yet hydrating formula, this cleanser smells strongly of strawberries due to its key ingredient of strawberry oil, an ultra-brighteing piece to the formula. The smell alone sold me - it genuinely smells like candy and is just the best way to wake up in the morning. But the real compliments must go to how wonderfully cleansed my skin looks and feels after using it. It has genuinely helped to clear up some of my congested skin, but never dries it out like many other cleansers have done in the past. It's a great all-rounder and one I've repurchased several times already.

In the past I've also reviewed the Squalane Facial Oil* (previous review) and Calendula Eye Balm* (previous review) a pair or hydrating products that really work hand in hand. Since my past reviews I've noticed raves for both of these all over the blogosphere, and I can absolutely see why. They're both incredibly simple formulas (the Squalane Facial Oil contains one ingredient) and yet they're highly effective and healing for your skin. For those with oilier skin types that could still benefit from a facial oil, the Squalane Facial Oil would be my number one recommendation. Derived from olives, this powerhouse formula only takes a few drops to completely moisturize your face, absorbing quickly so you aren't left with greasy residue. It's my go-to for warmer days because of its simplicity, and how well it really works.

A new addition to my skincare has been the brand's Blemish Stick, a neat little transparent formula that's housed in a purse-friendly stick. With ingredients such as witch hazel, salycylic acid and glycol acid, this little guy is not messing around - it intends to get rid of blemishes, and it gets rid of them fast. Now I know that some of these ingredients are avoided by many green beauty lovers, but I've made an exception with this little one, which comes from a brand that I highly trust. I've had some congestion on my chin lately that nothing could make a dent in, but swiping a bit of this formula on it both day and night (that's the wonderful thing - it's clear so it can go under/over makeup with ease!) zapped it right up without immensely drying out my skin. I've never come across an acne-targeting formula with these ingredients that didn't make my skin feel like sandpaper after, so I consider this a pretty huge feat.

Finally there's the Lavender and Chamomile Body Oilwhich is a recent addition to my body care collection. With a base of jojoba and apricot oils, added with essential oils of lavender and chamomile, this is not only an absorbent, highly moisturizing formula but also an incredibly relaxing one. The scents of body oils can sometimes be a bit overwhelming to me due to the pure essential oils, but I find this one to be nothing short of mesmerizing. It's a light fragrance but one that you can definitely still enjoy the aroma of, if you know what I mean. It's never cloying but instead a very relaxing smell in a formula that my skin just eats right up after a shower. It doesn't feel overly greasy after, just leaving you with smooth and deeply hydrated skin.
