#GreenBeauty Swap

This is a post that is looong overdue! A couple months back I signed up for Naturia Beauty's Green Beauty Swap, and was paired up with the lovely Courtney of Courtney's Vlog. A few weeks back she shared her post on the products I sent to her, and I'm so excited today to share some of the amazing products that Courtney kindly introduced me to!

Courtney sent over a box that was overflowing with beauty goodies and I honestly felt like a kid on Christmas morning opening it! There was everything from makeup to skincare to body care, and all from beautiful Canadian lines that, here in the ol' US of A, I hadn't had the pleasure of trying out before.

Let's start with some body care! Courtney sent along the Earth to Body Bergamot Anti-Odour Bar, which she shared was a staple in her routine. The company is based in Quebec and makes small batch products using only high quality, natural ingredients - right up my alley! You might remember my last experience with natural deodorants was a good one, but more often than not I find the good ones are hard to find. That said, I was pretty impressed with this deodorant! It smells great and really stood up to this summer heat, which is not an easy feat this time of year for natural options.

She also sent over a gorgeous Gourmet Body Treats Chocolate Mint Hand and Foot Cream and a Purple Urchin Zesty Lime Whipped Shea Body Butter, both of which smell amazing. I love anything with shea butter, and this whipped body butter is incredibly hydrating and effective. Plus the scent is gorgeous. Courtney shared that Purple Urchin is a brand based out of Ottawa that specializes in natural products. She also sent along the brand's Bath Cubes in the scents Maple/Lemon and Mimosa, the latter of which she states is her absolute fave. I can certainly see why - this is one seriously relaxing and beautiful scent. When I was finally able to use it in a bath I couldn't believe how wonderfully it worked!

For skincare, Courtney sent along a gorgeous lip balm (the NBW Marigold Magic Tingle Lip Balm) along with a few samples from Zorah Biocosmetiques. I'm a bit of a lip balm fanatic, and I very much approved of this one! NBW stands for Nature, Balance, Wellness, and all of their products are made in small, handmade batches. Courtney named the balm as one of her must-haves and it has quickly become one of mine as well! The samples from Zorah Biocosmetiques were similarly well received, and I loved the samples of the cleanser, moisturizer and other skincare goodies that were included. The brand specializes in products that contain high quality Argan oil, one of my all-time favorites, and their products worked fantastically well. It's definitely a brand I will be looking more into in the future.

Finally, she sent along some Pure Anada Mineral Eye Shadows in the shades Pewter and Sahara, as well as a compact to go along with them. I loved everything Courtney picked but these gems might just be my favorites! Not only are the shadows packed in little tins that magnetically attach to the handy compact, but they are generously sized to last you for quite some time. Pewter is a demi-matte that I would describe as being in the dark earthy brown category that's perfect for smudging along the lower lash line while Sahara is a demi-matte that is more of a rich, almost reddish infused brown that is gorgeous when swept across the entire lid. I adore them both and am blown away by their superb quality. Definitely some shadows I'd recommend to all!

I absolutely love doing personal swaps like these and getting the opportunity to try products that I wouldn't necessarily be able to try otherwise. It's so great getting to see other green beauty blogger's favorites and recommendations, and I cannot thank Courtney enough for the time and effort she put into putting together my box.

Have any Canadian readers tried these brands before? Any more recommendations for ones to try? I'd love to hear your opinions!
