Nail Polish With An Edge

Over the years I've accrued a rather large nail polish collection. I don't know what it is about polishes, but I can really never seem to have enough. I guess I just love that you can change the color up every couple of days for a pop of something new. When I made the switch over to green beauty, one of the hardest things to ween myself off of would have to be my beloved Essie polish collection. While I couldn't bear the thought of giving them all up, I did make a conscious effort to find a more eco-friendly option and was lucky enough to find some really great ones. One of those find was Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish, a gorgeous collection of polish shades with some seriously tongue-in-cheek humor.

The line is non-toxic and cruelty free, and a self-proclaimed "indie brand with an edge", a concept I found most intriguing. All ingredients are sourced from the USA and Canada, and the brand makes a conscious effort to create beautiful, eco-conscious shades without having to give up a long-lasting, effective formula.

I've been trying out a few shades from the line, which are pictured above. Like I said before, they all have very "tongue-in-cheek" names that revolve around the Trust Fund Beauty name. There's Virgin?*, the darker nude pictured at top, the sea foam blue What's a Budget?*Money Buys Happiness*, a baby pink, the fluorescent yellow Celebrity Crush* and finally the Do You Know Who My Father Is?*, a dusty medium pink pictured at bottom.

I've been circulating through all of these shades, and have been so impressed with how well the formula works for each of them. Each shade is easy to work with but highly pigmented, meaning that you can achieve completely opaque color within two layers (a hard quality to come by in nail polish, let me tell you!). While I love every shade I admit that I have a special place in my heart for What's a Budget?*, the gorgeous light blue above. I'm a huge fan of blue-hued polishes and this gem has quickly become one of my favorites. It applies easily and has a huge color payoff that lasts, making it my favorite shade of the summer.

I'm already searching for the next shade to try from this gorgeous brand, and I couldn't be happier to have found such an incredible non-toxic option to add to my ever growing polish collection.
