Cheek-full of Color

rms living luminizer, tarte cheek stain, charlotte tilbury beach stick, laura mercier cheek creme

As you all know, I'm a girl that's all about the glow. Anything with a dew-factor is either on my radar or already on my vanity, and I'm always on the lookout for more. One of my favorite ways to add a healthy glow is with a little flush of color on my cheeks, and these days I've been loving a few cream-based concoctions for the job.

The oldest option in my collection is the Tarte Cheek Stain in True Love, a sheer watermelon that gives just a sheen of color to your cheeks. I used this a ton last summer because it was the perfect color combination with my tanned skin (which I miss terribly). I was a little afraid that it would be a little dramatic for my skin now, but it turned out to be just the right amount of sheer color to give me some rosy cheeks.

On the complete opposite end of the color spectrum is Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in Las Salinas, a bright, candy pink. I had been eye-ing Tilbury's Beach Sticks since they came out in the UK (which was a solid year prior to their stateside debut), but hesitated on which color to get. Las Salinas is so not a color that I'd normally pick for myself, but I was coveting a little pop of pink and this seemed like a great chance for that. Well after just a few uses of this guy I can already tell I'll be picking up some other shades - the formulation is wonderful, and the stick packaging makes for the absolute easiest application. While the color is undeniably in-your-face pink, it's sheer enough that it doesn't make me look like a clown. All it takes is a few dots of this on my cheek, which I blend in a bit with my hands, and I'm left with a nice pop of color.

There's also the Laura Mercier Creme Cheek Colour in Rosebud, a rosy pink that's somewhere in the middle of the two previously mentioned cheek colors. While I find this formula to be just a hint drier than either of the other options, I truly adore the color for adding a healthy flush of color to my cheeks. It's a perfect year-round color, but it really pops against my currently very pale skin.

Finally, there's the ultimate glow product, the RMS Living Luminizer. While I know this isn't a blush, it's the most gorgeously natural highlighter to add an extra layer of sheen on top of your color. I have to stop myself from slathering this stuff all over my face - while it's very natural looking, it certainly looks best when just applied to the highest points of your face. That said it does have the ultimate glow factor and is hands down one of my favorite products ever.

What blushes can you guys not get enough of right now? I'd love to hear any recommendations!
