A Little More Sachajuan

sachajuan volume cream, sachajuan normal hair shampoo, sachajuan protective hair perfume

A little while back, I posted about my introduction to the wonderful haircare brand Sachajuan. If you recall, I'm definitely not a high-maintenace hair girl - I consider a day when I do anything more than dry my hair a small victory. But something about this Swedish brand has made me a bit of a believer. While I've never been much of a haircare person, this brand makes it easy (and understandable) to become a little obsessed. So, obviously, after trying out my first two product, I was keen to try out more from this magical brand.

I first bought the Sachajuan Normal Hair Shampoo as an alternative to my much loved Sachajuan Scalp Shampoo. The Scalp Shampoo has straight up saved my hair and, wanting to savor every last bit of the bottle, I decided to cut my usage down to twice a week, using the Normal Hair Shampoo every other day. With the same amazing scent (which I could go on about for days - watch out, another rave is coming in just a paragraph or two) this shampoo helps my hair feel clean and lightweight without drying it out in any way. It doesn't irritate my scalp or create any build up, so it was bound to be another winner in my book.

Next up is the incredible Sachajuan Volume Cream*, a product I've been itching to try out for quite some time. One of the reasons I don't purchase a ton of hair products is that I feel so many of them create build up or just straight result in up grime-y, crunchy hair. Specifically volume creams and gels have often left my hair feeling immediately oily and kind of gross. Because of this, I can give no greater compliment to this particular volume cream than to say that I cannot even tell that it's in my hair. Don't get me wrong, it definitely creates some volume - but when I apply a dime sized drop of this to my damp hair, scrunch it and then dry it, I'm left simply with my hair plus some added volume (and, again, the amazing scent). It is the only hair cream that has ever left behind such seamless, invisible results (all with added heat protection), and for that I am a total convert.

Finally, there's the most unique product of the bunch - the Sachajuan Protective Hair Perfume*. Full disclosure, I knew I needed to try this as soon as I heard that the wonderful signature scent of Sachajuan came in a spray bottle. With notes of litchi, green apple, peach, rose, cedar wood and white musk, it smells heavenly. But while the scent is an added bonus, this hair perfume is actually quite multi-functional. Not only does it moisturize, reduce static, and give shine and UV-protection, but the perfume actually has some anti-odor technology as well. The product contains natural citrus oils that "encapsulates odor molecules and breaks them down to freshen hair" (according to their website). Basically, it freshens up your hair, leaving behind only the gorgeous signature scent. I've actually had to stop myself from spritzing this all over because it is quite strong, and very long lasting! I've found that one to two sprays is enough to leave me hair smelling wonderful for hours at a time (especially if used in conjunction with other Sachajuan products). I've already found myself using this on the daily, and can't wait to use it during the spring/summer for the added UV-protection. It's a unique product that I never knew I needed, but now I'm not so sure I'd be able to live without it!
