Weekly Favorites #9

Essie Nail Polish in Strut Your Stuff - A gorgeous blue, described by Essie as a shade of "cobalt aqua". This has been my most worn shade of the summer so far, it's just so vibrant and bright! I'm big into blue nails, but even with my extensive collection of blue shades, this is one that I hadn't come across before. It's such a flattering shade, and one that isn't necessarily as "obnoxious" looking as it might seem. It helps me look like I actually have a tiny bit of a tan (which I do not) and that's always going to be a great thing in my book.

R + Co Rockaway Salt Spray - I've tried my share of salt sprays, and come across a whole lot of failures. This is not one of them. This offering from the brand R + Co not only smells amazing, but leaves just the right amount of texture and wave to your hair without any of that awful crunchy feeling that all too many salt sprays leave behind. I've found this works best when I spray it into damp hair, and then either let it air dry or blow dry it. It doesn't create curls, and I wasn't expecting it to. What it does do is create loads of volume and texture to your hair, all while treating it with lots of beneficial ingredients. I've been spritzing a bit of this every day, I just love what it does for my hair!

TheBalm BalmShelter Tinted Moisturizer  - I have a ridiculous amount of tinted moisturizers (as you all know), and I can say with all honesty that this is one of the most impressive selections that I have come across in recent years. With a decent amount of coverage, as well as a matte-to-satin leaning finish (if that makes sense?), this is an awesome option for summer. It's ridiculously easy to apply with your fingers, and leaves just the right amount of color and coverage to look completely natural. It dries down to a more-matte-than-dewy finish which makes it perfect for these sweaty, hot days when it's all too easy for your makeup to melt right off.

TheBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer - As a fairly pale person, it's hard to find a bronzer that doesn't make me look ridiculous. Even more difficult is finding a matte bronzer, as so many bronzing options are full of enough sparkle to make you look like Edward Cullen. This matte bronzer offering from TheBalm is perfect to use for contouring, bronzing and even for a bit of eye shadow! There's no excessive sheen to it, and instead it gives a bit of warmth and shadow to your face.

Lush American Cream Hair Conditioner - With a strawberry-vanilla scent, this was always going to be a win for me. It's just an added bonus that it is an awesome conditioner that leaves your locks soft and light. With super thick hair, I've found that conditioners either are not moisturizing enough or are too moisturizing and thus weigh my hair down. I've been pairing this with Lush's Curly Wurly Shampoo and have found that it leaves my hair feeling cleaned, hydrated and light as air. I really couldn't love it more.
