Makeup
For a base I find myself switching it up between the Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer and the Diorskin Nude BB Creme. Both provide a fairly light base with just enough color to impart a healthy glow to the face. While I find the Chantecaille offering to be pretty sweat-resistant, it definitely leaves more of a dewy finish than Dior. If I need something slightly more long lasting I might favor the Dior which lasts just that little bit longer. To finish off the base makeup, I always reach for my trusty By Terry Touche Veloutee. I use this concealer/highlighter hybrid on a daily basis to highlight underneath my eyes and take the edge off the dark circles. It dries down to a glowing, matte finish that doesn't settle into fine lines or look too dry underneath my eyes (which I have the Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Eye to thank for, which I use as my eye cream).
In all honesty, I prefer to go for a very natural eye on interviews, especially during the summer. The last thing I want to have is smudged up eye makeup as I'm talking to a potential employer. I always wear mascara (usually the amazing Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara) and fix up my brows with a little bit of the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil. Sometimes I'll leave it at that, but if I wear anything else it's usually just a bit of eyeshadow smudged a bit on my upper lid line, courtesy of the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.
To finish off the look, I brush a bit of my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful, a nice pop of coral, and swipe a bit of Chantecaille Brilliant Lip Gloss in Pretty, a light pink sheen. To make sure the look lasts all day, my most important step is the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray. I either spray a few spritzes directly on my face, or spray my Beauty Blender and dab it all over my face (a trick I learned from the amazing Anna of Vivianna Does Makeup).
Hair
Lush Seanik Solid Shampoo leaves my hair squeaky clean which holds off the inevitable oily mess that my hair becomes after too much time in the heat and humidity. Along with this, fluffing my hair with a bit of Bumble and Bumble Prêt-à-Powder helps to give my hair a bit of volume all while keeping it clean and smelling lovely. If I wear my hair straight I'll keep the products limited to those two, but if I wear my hair curly I might switch out the Powder and instead spray a little of the Philip B Maui Wowie Spray. This helps to texturize and give a bit of volume and hold to my hair, and I adore everything about it. After curling my hair, I spray some Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Resistant Spray (what a mouthful!) to keep my hair looking fresh, and to hold my curls and prevent looking like a giant puffball.
you look lovely! still need to get the dior bb creme!
