Natura Bisse the Cure Sheer Eye: A Review

I'm going to start this off by saying that I've never been a big spender when it comes to skincare. It seems sort of silly to say that most of my beauty allowance (re: all my money) goes towards makeup products when its skincare that really provides better benefits, but alas I'm young and vain I suppose. Anyways it's only recently that I've genuinely started investing in quality skincare products, and damn they are expensive! You certainly get what you pay for when it comes to high quality products though, and one I've recently splurged on (and have already talked about endlessly) is Natura Bisse's The Cure Sheer Eye, a tinted eye cream that manages to hydrate, illuminate, and give an overall softer focus look to underneath the eyes.

Now, this skincare gem will set you back a pretty penny, but I put a lot of thought into it before buying this and decided that for the miniscule amount you need for each use that the container should last me at least a year. For all the benefits you receive, I figure one large lump sum purchase adds up to be less money than several smaller drugstore skincare purchases over the course of a year. That being said, I'm also a sucker and a serial shopaholic so what do I know?

This has turned out to be a lovely purchase for summer as I usually just slap this on after some tinted moisturizer and I'm good to go! While it does conceal and illuminate slightly it's a far cry from a concealer. However, during the summer when it's too hot to care about looking pretty, this stuff is just enough to take my dark circles from horrifying to "I notice but I'm not gonna say anything about you looking sickly".

Along with the short term benefits of illuminating, hydrating and firming the skin underneath your eyes, this gem contains several key ingredients that are helpful in the longer term as well. Some of those ingredients include SIRT-AP (a rice based peptide complex that slow the aging process and repairs damaged skin), Hyaluronix Acid (plumps the skin and fills fine lines and wrinkles) and Fermentus Glaciarum Extract (stimulates Collagen and Elastin production). Basically a whole bunch of scientific stuff that I don't truly comprehend, but enough to make me believe this eye cream is doing wonders for my skin.

And while I don't have evidence that the long-term claims are true, I can say that I have noticed a drastic change in my undereyes in the few weeks I've been using this. My skin is significantly more hydrated, my fine lines are softened, and my dark circles even seem a little less severe (which could very well be a figment of my imagination). Overall, this skincare purchase has paid off, and while my family and friends were horrified to learn the price (and, please, I cut it down by like 40% when I told them - still horrified) for the benefits I've gotten I'd say it was well worth it!
