And you know what? As much as I cringe at the money I spent on it, I have to say it is just darn good! As the tinted moisturizer aficionado I am, I knew that Natura Bisse's The Cure Sheer Cream (the so-called "queen" of the BB Creams) would one day be mine. If you couldn't tell already, I'm
Anyways, back to the point at hand. This skincare/makeup hybrid comes in one shade, a beige-y color that supposedly self-adjusts to any skin tone. It offers a very sheer layer of coverage (as the name suggests) but I find that it adds an illuminating soft-focus affect to the skin that truly looks like your skin, but better. It's ultra-hydrating (perhaps even a bit too hydrating for anyone with oilier skin) and supposedly has loads of positive long-term affects on your skin. In the short-term, I find that this adds just the perfect amount of light coverage to give my skin a bit of a glow along with moisturizing and providing my skin with SPF 20 coverage. It slightly covers up redness, but that's about the exteent of the coverage. I have a few blemishes at the moment and find that I absolutely must cover them with a bit of concealer to get any sort of coverage.
That said, if you're like me and looove the no-makeup makeup look than you can't get any more natural looking than this gem. It compliments my normal-to-dry skin perfectly and provides me with the healthy glow that I always strive for. The jar comes with 1.7 oz of product, but as a thicker cream I find that you truly only need a dime-sized amount to cover your whole face, making me think that this will last me quite a long while. In these hot summer days I've been pairing this with the Cure Sheer Eye and I'm ready to go! While they don't provide much coverage, they give me just enough of a healthy sheen that I feel natural, and my skin feels nourished.
For the price, this is truly a product you should try out and be head over heels in love with. While you can find deals on it in certain places, it's still not an every day purchase that I would recommend. If you have a Space NK nearby, I'd suggest trying out a packet of this (or the Oil-Free version, which is wonderful for summer as well) and give it a go! And if you do, be sure to let me know what you think!
