Those Summer Nights

It's finally summer (in my mind)! I know the "official" date of summer is a few weeks away, but with these gorgeous sunny days (and subsequently unfortunate humidity) upon us, I've really been feeling that giddy feeling I get each and every summer. Unfortunately for me, the days of no school and no work are behind me, but I still get that lovely anticipation for summer each year! During these hot months I usually keep my routine kind of basic, and only add a few touches to go from day to night. So I thought I'd share with you guys my typical summer night out look!

I start out by applying my Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer, a new love that I have been reaching for both day and night when I want a light coverage! I have the shade Light to Medium, which has been perfect for my newly tanned skin (courtesy of Mystic Tan - click here to see my thoughts plus enter for a chance to win a spray tan of your own!), and quickly dries down to a semi-matte finish. Just a side note, but I was quite hesitant to buy this Oil-Free version considering I have fairly dry skin. In fact, I really wanted the regular Tinted Moisturizer from BB, but they were out in my shade and the sales person convinced me to try the Oil-Free. I have actually been loving this version, especially in the sticky humidity. I do apply a regular moisturizer before using this, but it's kept any excess oil from the heat at bay and still manages to hydrate my skin. Alright, sorry, end tangent!

So the BB Tinted Moisturizer is perfect for both day and night, providing just the right amount of coverage for me, and only requiring a touch up halfway through the day. Next up I apply my magical duo of the Giorgio Armani Corrector and Giorgio Armani Maestro Eraser underneath my eyes to conceal my dark circles. These miracle workers help make me look more awake without looking like I'm wearing any makeup at all! You can check out my review for more details on these two gems, which I can already guarantee will be apart of my daily routine for quite some time!

After my base is done and under eyes concealed, I finish off my eyes by applying a bit of the shade Busted from my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette on the outer corners of my upper and lower lid, adding just a hint of definition. I cannot rave enough about this palette (which was given to me as a gift from my awesome roommate, who I cannot thank enough), and it has been the first thing I reach for when I want my eyes a bit done up! I finish off my eyes with my Loreal Miss Manga Mascara and then sweep some of my Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop on my cheekbones for a bright pop of color (because it is summer, after all)!

I finish off the look with a coral lip gloss, in this case I used my Bare Minerals Moxie Lip Gloss in Party Starter. And voila! All that really changed from my day to night look was the addition of some eyeshadow around the eyes, and a more colorful lip gloss. I love this look because it still is rather simple and natural, and is such an easy transition from day to night. In the summer I'm all about simplicity, and this look is just that!

How do you transition your look from day to night during the summer?
