Origins Haul

I'm not sure what's been happening to me these past few weeks, but I've become somewhat of a skincare junkie! I think I might have finally gotten to the point where I had tried all the makeup I wanted to try (for now anyways) and wanted to try out a few new skincare goodies. While I've been testing out a handful of different brands, one brand that I've always had a soft spot for (as, I know, has the rest of the blogosphere) anything from Origins. I have yet to make any purchase from Origins that I ended up regretting, and this latest haul has been no exception!

Checks and Balance Frothy Face Wash

I bought this to be able to use with my new Clarisonic Mia (which I promise I will write a review about, I just want to try and give it a few weeks of use before giving my opinion) and it ended up being the perfect fit! There's a reason this guy is one of Origin's best sellers, and it's because it simply works for all skin types. It manages to cut down oil production without drying out your skin, all while cleaning your face! As someone with dry skin, I am quite picky with my face washes, and I can say this product has never left my skin feeling too dry, or leaving behind any residue. It works well on its own, and even better when paired with my Clarisonic Mia, and I'm hopeful I'll be seeing some great results from future use!

Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask

I loooove any and all facial masks, so when I found this guy at a discount while outlet shopping I didn't give a second thought before picking it up. This mask does not disappoint either! It's supposed to be a once a week mask to clear out your pores, and I can honestly say I was shocked at how well it lived up to those claims. After just one use my skin felt softer, my pores appeared smaller, and it didn't dry out my skin in the slightest! I only use my Clarisonic Mia a few times a week, and have been trying to use this once a week on one of my non-Clarisonic days. It works great, and so far I have nothing but positive thoughts about it.

Make a Difference Plus+

I've read about this toner several times over at gh0stparties, and I was interested to try it out for myself. So far, I'm really loving it! With dry skin it's hard to find a toner that gets the job done without drying out your skin, but this one manages to subside any excess oil without further drying out any dry patches. It's also quite strong, and manages to pick up any specks of dirt that my other skincare elements might have missed. All in all this is a really great addition to my skincare routine, and definitely a toner I plan on repurchasing once I run out.

Plantscription Concealer

I'm a huge fan of Origin's Quick, Hide! Concealer, so after hearing nothing but rave reviews of the Plantscription offering I decided to try it out for myself. This stuff offers some great coverage without any signs of creasing, which is a win in and of itself. So my thoughts in comparison to the Quick, Hide! offering? Unpopular opinion time. I honestly prefer the  Quick, Hide! to Plantscription. Don't get me wrong, the Plantscription concealer is fabulous, and definitely one I'll keep using. However, I personally find Quick, Hide! to offer a similar level of coverage without being quite as drying underneath my eyes (which is really the only place I tend to use concealer). I don't know if it's just me, but I find that the Plantscription concealer dries down fast and can occasionally look a little bit chalky because of that. Overall, a great option, but for me personally it's not the winner between the two Origins concealers.
