When I first tried out the Matte Moisture Tint (in the shade Linen, which is my perfect match) I immediately noticed how similar the consistency was to the amazing Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. While they both have a whipped, airy texture, the Matte Moisture Tint has much more of a light-to-medium coverage compared to the very full coverage of the Laura Mercier offering.
Like the Silk Creme Foundation, the Matte Moisture Tint definitely does have a soft, skin-like finish that's not too matte nor too shiny. Even for a dewy-loving girl like me I think I could see myself wearing this alone. I could definitely see myself wearing just this during the summer when my skin has some added hydration, and when the Oil-Free formula would be a great fit. However, as much as I do enjoy wearing this alone as a base, my love for it grows exponentially when I add a few drops of the Luminizing Moisture Tint in Pearl. These two offerings completely balance each other out! Alone, the Luminizing Moisture Tint is a bit too shiny for me, and right now the Matte Moisture Tint doesn't have enough shine for me. Added together, these two are a match made in heaven, and form my little "golden duo". They add just the right amount of coverage to my face while still allowing my natural skin to show through. I couldn't ask for more from these two gems, and I imagine they both will be getting a lot of use year round from me.
It looks lovely! Great post..
