About Me Refresher

When I first started this blog, I did a small little post introducing myself with a few "interesting" (up for interpretation) facts about me. I know I only started writing a few months ago, but already in those few months so many things have changed! Because of this I was interested in doing a bit of an about me "refresher" to introduce myself more personally to anyone who has started reading my blog recently. I'd also like to give the opportunity to open up the comments section for any questions anyone might have, whether it be about any makeup products I use or simply about my life! I've only been blogging a short amount of time, but in that time I've been blessed in meeting so many wonderful, kind people and met with such lovely comments and feedback. I cannot tell you all just how much this has meant to me, because I cannot even accurately put my gratitude into words.

Anyways, I'm going to try and stop rambling on and get on with this. So here are a few little tidbits about me:
1) I'm 22 years old (23 in June, eek!) and will be graduating from college in a week with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, and a Minor in Business. Oh, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with my life. No big deal. While I have my degree in Fashion, I'm really torn about whether I want to go into the fashion or the beauty field, as I'm so passionate about both. I've been applying for jobs in both industries, so cross your fingers that I'll hear back from someone soon!
2) I'm a Netflix fanatic. I'm a bit of a homebody to begin with, so I've always been someone that prefers to stay in on a Friday night with friends and watch a movie with some wine. However, after subscribing to Netflix I brought my television obsession to a whole 'nother level. I could seriously marathon a show in no time flat, and (in my most embarrassing example) I even finished the whole first season of Orange is the New Black in two days. I promise, I do have a life. Sort of.
3) I might be one of the most impatient people ever. But no, seriously. I get so excited about giving people Christmas gifts, I sometimes give it to them early. When I'm marathoning a television show, I sometimes (self-loathingly) spoil myself through Wikipedia. It's far from an attractive quality of mine, and drives Jake more than a little nuts, but unfortunately it's part of who I am.
4) While it seems a little crazy to think about now, I used to be a bit of a tomboy. My best friend can attest to the fact that I used to refuse to brush my hair, and the ideas of makeup and dresses repelled me. I have no idea why I was like this, and now 90% of my wardrobe consists of dresses and I'm (clearly) more than a little obsessed with makeup. A far cry from my 9-year-old self who was forced to get a manicure for a birthday party, and chose the colors green and brown because "they were like grass and dirt" (seriously, where did I come from?!). Anyways, I suppose being the only girl in a family of three boys made me rebel a bit from being a feminine child, but nowadays I can say that I am the complete opposite.

I can't really think of much else, but I think through these little trivia bits I've pretty much cemented the very real fact that I'm a certified weirdo!

  1. Loved finding out more about you, your degrees sound so interesting to me:) I think we all start off a bit refrained at first so this post is a really good idea, I think I might have to do one myself too haha! X

    1. Aw I'm so glad you liked it! And I really did love my major, I actually changed over from Psychology (big change!) and it's one of the best choices I ever made. And let me know if you do one, I'd absolutely love to read it!
